nZoraida Tack is the place where I, Amy, display my miniature Arabian horse tack. I have been in the hobby for over a decade (that’s a long time now I think about it), and Arabians have always been my favourite horse breed. There is just a certain elegance and regalness about them that is striking. So they are what got me into Arabian tack making in the first place.
I offer several different styles of tack, including native style, Hollywood style and beaded tack. I currently do not offer dancing horse costumes, as I feel that I have to develop my skill more in making those. The native style costumes I make are mostly authentic in style, though I can make “hybrid costumes” that have elements from different styles.
Halter commissions are always available, they usually take me a week or so to finish. Presentation sets and costumes will take a little longer, depending also on the complexity of the tack (i.e. single, double or three-tiered tassels). If interested in commissioning tack, you can contact me and ask for my price list.
If you want me to replicate real tack in miniature from a picture, I will take on the challenge in most cases. Please do not ask me to replicate model horse costumes done by other artists, since this is not fair to me or the original artist.
Regarding sizes & scales: I can make tack in Traditional and Classic scale. Tack for oversized traditionals is no problem either. If you want tack in stablemate scale or paddock pals/pebbles scale, I cannot guarantee I will be able to make everything to scale. However, I can certainly try.
Payment bij PayPal only please (except for customers living in The Netherlands, bank transfer is fine in that case). Please be aware that I might request part of the payment (usually 25%) before I start work on your commissioned tack pieces. This is used to pay for the materials I need to make the tack. This down payment is non-refundable. Full payment for all tack items is required before I ship them out.
I accept time payments. So if you need to spread the costs over a few weeks/months, let me know and I’m sure we can work out a payment plan. Note that I do not refund payments should you decide you don’t want the tack piece anymore. If the buyer fails to pay in time, all payments are forfeited and the item will be put up for sale. If for some reason it is not possible to make a payment at any point, please don’t hesitate to tell me! I understand that life can get in the way of the model horse hobby sometimes.
I live in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship worldwide. Insurance is optional but recommended. I will always ship your order with a tracking number.
I will happily trade my tack for other items. Some things I might be interested in are: resins (in any size), customs, certain OF horses, and other tack (mostly english). I will consider every trade, but please don’t be offended if I decline the trade. I am quite picky with models.
I will check your references before starting a trade, and I do require evidence that your item was shipped to me (i.e. a tracking number).
I am a full time student at university, so please keep in mind that I might not always be able to complete tack in the predicted time-span. I do try my best to keep up with commissions and ship them out as soon as I can.
I will gladly repair any of my own tack. Most repairs will be free of cost, as long as the owner of the tack piece pays for shipping both ways. For example, if the tack piece is missing some cowrie shells or a few tassels became undone, I can easily repair this. If the damage is more extensive, a small fee may apply (although I will let you know this before I start the repairs). Please be aware that I do not repair other artists’ work.
Is my tack LSQ?
Due to living in the Netherlands, there are not very many live shows that I can attend. Some of my tack has been shown and has won NAN/BMEC cards. LSQ is a subjective term, so I will let you decide for yourself if you find it LSQ.
Live show donations
If I can find the time, I will happily make a piece of tack to donate to a show. Just ask!
If you have any other questions about my tack, or if you want a price quote for a certain tack piece, you can contact me by using the Contact Form on this page.
